2025-2026 CEIA Profile:
(As of December, 2025)
Centro Educativo Internacional Anzoátegui is led by a Director, Ms. Daniela Medina, currently serving her eighth term. With many directors having served over the past 69 years, having a strategic plan and a focus on continuous school improvement through accreditation encourages an adherence to a high level of standards. CEIA was first accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 2003. CEIA earned accreditation for first through twelfth grades, and has maintained accreditation every year since. Beginning in 2006, CEIA’s accreditation was through AdvancED and now Cognia.
CEIA is located in Anaco, Anzoategui, in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Caracas is the capital of this tropical country situated on the northern coast of South America. It is bordered by Colombia to the west, Guyana to the east, and Brazil to the south. There are 184.72 mi (248 mi by road) between Anaco and Caracas. It takes 5 hours to drive to Caracas from Anaco and 45 minutes to drive to the Caribbean beaches near Barcelona and Puerto La Cruz.
CEIA currently has 67 students in Preschool (for 3-year-olds) through grade 12. The school celebrated 69 years of operation in June, 2025. Anaco, Venezuela, once a very busy “boom town” when the oil business was at a peak, is a small quiet town. The pandemic, plus political, economic, and social issues have caused a heavy strain on the economic situation here in Venezuela and at CEIA.
