ESL Program
An ESL program is a structured educational initiative designed to help non-native English speakers develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. It typically serves students at varying proficiency levels, from beginner to advanced, and adapts to their age, goals, and cultural backgrounds.
Since many of CEIA’s students come from non-English speaking backgrounds, ESL lessons are required and available for those deemed necessary. Based on research regarding best practices and language learning, our ESL program begins with grade 3. Students without English are given intensive ESL lessons as a substitute for special classes until such time as deemed necessary.
